We all know that the daily life of a college student leaves little room to cook up extravagant meals in the kitchen. But, who says you can’t still enjoy a delicious easy recipe that takes only five minutes to whip up and leaves you with little to no dishes! These two easy mug recipes will leave you full and happy for a long night of studying.
Let’s start with an easy dinner recipe. Mac n’ Cheese!
Ingredients:
1/3 cup pasta
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (I mixed shredded swiss and parmesan as well)
Optional: 1/2 tablespoon butter or margarine
Directions:
Combine pasta and water in large mug or bowl.
Microwave pasta in 1-minute intervals, stirring after each minute to check noodle consistency. The water should be absorbed and the noodles should be soft after about 4 minutes of this.
Add in cheese and milk, and stir.
Put pasta back in microwave for 1 minute, stir thoroughly.
Okay, so now that you are full from dinner, we hope you have left room for dessert! This decadent Chocolate Mug Cake will be the the cherry on top!

4 tablespoons cake flour (plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg

1 dash vanilla
Directions:
Add dry ingredients to a coffee mug and mix well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips and vanilla essence, mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed!
